One of my "customers", a writer, wants to get a professional quality portable digital recorder, she is looking at MWave, Olympus and Sony products. She wants to plug the recorder into her Vista notebook to upload the stuff she records for processing which would include voice2text transformation, transcription, audio editing etc.
I cannot find any equipment of this nature in the Vista HCL. Given our experience, the writer's scanner wont, and we had problems getting her camera to, work on Vista, we are seeking some degree of reassurance that whatever she buys will work, beyond glib statements from manufacturers or retailers. The kit my customer is considering has a price ticket of $350-600 ($US from USA sources).
Does anyone have any experience of using this class of equipment with Vista and what issues/problems did they encounter.
