I currently have the logitech x-530 5.1 surround sound speakers. I purchased a turtle beach montego 7.1 card so my computer can make use of all the speakers. I also want my playstation 3 to use these speakers with true 5.1 surround sound. The problem is, the speakers don't have a digital input. I noticed that my sound card has an spdif input. If I was to buy a digital cable and connect my ps3 to the spdif input jack on my sound card, would I be able to relay the sound to my speakers in true 5.1 surround sound? I'm sorry if my scenario is unclear in anyway, but this question was written under time restraints (time for class).
