Cannot install Visual Studio on Vista Home Premium

I have recently purchased a new laptop with Vista Home Premium installed. Now I want to install my Visual Studio 2005. When I right click on the setup, and select the "Run as administrator" option, it looks like the setup is working. I get a notice saying "Known compatibility issues with this program", do you want to continue. I say continue and then it appears to install the program. When I am done, I can't find VS2005. I then try to install the sp1 for vista, I get a message saying it cannot find VS2005. Obviously the install never worked. Any ideas?

Hi DR.Spencer,

I read that you will need to copy the entire contents of the Visual Studio 2005 installation DVD to a new folder on your desktop and install it from within that folder.
