Disable Windows media Player in Vista Home Basic

Hi Folks,

It seems that for for Vista Home Basic there is no option to disable WMP in the windows options in the control panel. I never use WMP but if it gets started by accident it starts destroying all my album art.

Can any one tell me where the WMP executables are? I will rename them.

Or you can get a free autokill program. I found that to be the simplest solution. I had WMP and mobsync.exe in my autokill list.

softpedia
snapfiles
sourceforge.net
and similar.
