I'm probably asking the dumbest question ever, but I've not had this problem before.
I'm using Windows Vista HP, 32 bit. My laptop's running really slowly, and having done a disk cleanup, de-frag and re-start, I went to the Control Panel to check my start-up programs. All I got was "Software Explorers error:0x80070005. Access is denied." I clicked on the Using Software Explorer link, and followed the Windows Help and Support listed instructions, Windows Defender> Tools> Software Explorer, but still got the same error message.
I've read that Software Explorer has been removed from Windows 7. Has it also been removed from Vista HP.?
I've tried to find a download for Software Explorer, but they are all for Vista 64, not 32. Is there a download for Vista 32.? Is there another way to access my start-up programs.?
