gadget icon cannot delete

I lost the gadget Weatherbug when I restarted my laptop. I tried to add it the usual way with no results. I then clicked plus sign, typed weatherbug in search, the icon showed in the popup screen, I then dragged it to the gadget column, all that showed in the gadget column when I released it was the basic picture not the whole icon, I cannot delete it and it shows over every window where the normal gadget column is desktop only and hidden when window is opened over it. Went to c:\users\{my name}\Desktop and there it is not listed.
