quicktime slow to launch

I have latest- Quicktime ver. 771 (168.42)
My Vista is up to date as of today Jan 29, 2012

The problem is that Quicktime is slow to launch. It takes almost 1 minute from the time I hit the icon for it. QT player seems to work properly, with no jerky video or delay.

I have had previous versions of QT and they all are slow in launching on this computer.
QT is not as slow launching on my wife's computer that is also running Vista.

Help is appreciated.

Mines slow too. Not 1 minute, but it's pretty slow. I'm stuck using it because WMP 11 sucks and doesn't play my HD videos.
