Win Patrol is software that is awesome. It works in the back ground and quitely does it thing. If because of a virus or malware a change is being made to your computer, Scotty the dog comes out and barks so that you know that a change was made.
The free version notifies you about 5 to 10 minutes after the change, but you are notified. It has many other good features too; such as ease at uninstalling other software etc. You may want to look into it
