No 'Aero Snap' or 'Flip' 3D for Vista Home Basic -Any Good Alternatives?

Vista Guru
'Aero Snap' and Flip 3D - Cool features.

Unfortunately these are NOT included in Vista HB.

They look good and useful for a number of tasks. Saving a lot of mouse clicks and searching.

Is there anything similar, or even better, out there suitable for Vista Home Basic 32bit?

Please don't forget your poor relatives the HB Boys and Girls !!

Reading various info. I think the Snap is not made for HB, but will check anyway.

You mentioned making system restore point.

After the week with nasties I thought I would look at the setup for System Restore.

Looking through the Task Schedular I cannot find it anywhere, so I think that will be my priority.
I will look more at Task Schedular, had just opened when I got your post.
Buit can't see it scheduled. Strange±!!

create a shortcut and paste this
C:\Windows\System32\rundll32.exe DwmApi #105 in the target

    Weakest part of my computer is the graphics chipset. Only ever used a laptop. Also use USB Freeview TV Card Lenovo Docking Station External Speakers Other bits a pieces as needed

I heard about company called 'RocketDock' see if they have something different!

Checked out the tip you gave me re: Aero Snap etc., great link with all the Win7 features available for Vista.

Does warn you that some are experimental and if you get a bug please let them know, so caution I would say is the best policy.

But some great ideas to brighten up your screen.

An adendum to the Aero Snap link.
I had been playing around with Aero Snap and then got the call from Java about new updates.

This was the start of the problem, I'm not saying it was the Aero Snap link.
They did put you through to a 3rd party site, and it took a bit to get off the computer, as I uninstalled at that point.
Maybe I was being a little too cautious, after the week i've had with 'nasties'?
