Cannot install Real Player

Hello. I am trying to download real player. It won't install. I run windows vista. Help on this issue is requested.

Also, I tried to download an anti malware program called Vipre. It is a supposed to be an excellent program. However, windows installer shuts down and won't install it. This is a secondary issue, but it is unresolved and I do not know what to do.

You could try real alternative, I use it with no problems.
Never heard of the security program so won't comment on that.

Hello wsm24,

Welcome to Vista Forums.

Please try the following:

Press the Windows Key + R

Type in the Run Command: msconfig

Select the "Services" tab

Check the box entitled, "Hide all Microsoft services"

Click "Disable all"

Click "Apply"

Click "Ok"

Restart your computer and re-install.

Vipre is also an anti-virus program, if you already have one, it may be preventing it from installing.
