I am the IT guy for my community and have come upon a problem I cannot fix. I know this IS the place for correct answers.
Problem: A user using Windows Live Mail is unable to open .pps files received with WLM. He gets an error message saying there is no file association for files with that extension.
BUT... he does have Microsoft Power Point Viewer installed and it IS the default program for .pps, .ppt and such programs.
He also uses embarqmail webmail (just for .pps emails) because his web based email will allow him to open power point presentations.
I know he has his defaults set correctly but they just won't work. He wants to use Windows Live Mail exclusively for his email but until this problem is resolved, he can't.
OK... you have the problem.... Who will be first with the correct solution?
