Error while installing Microsoft Office 2007

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone knows what this error message means and how I can fix it so I can install my version of Microsoft Office Professional 2007:

Microsoft Office Professional 2007 encountered an error during setup.
Error 1935.An error occurred during the installation of assembly component {74FD3CE6-2A8D-0E9C-A01F-C8B3B9A1E18E}. HRESULT: 0x8007054F.

Thanks, and I would appreciate any assistance on this matter.

I don't mean to imply anything here, but can you confirm that this has either been downloaded from microsoft or that it has been installed from a licensed disc?

I can confirm that this was in the process of being installed from a licensed disc. For some reason, I keep getting the aforementioned error after trying to install for several minutes.

Alright, thank you :) I was just checking because cracks and pirated software are laced with errors, which may have been the reason.

Can you follow these steps please:

1. Open up the start menu
2. Click control panel
3. Click on Programs
4. Click Programs and Features
5. Doubleclick on "Microsoft .NET Framework "Version Number"
6. Select repair
7. Once it has finished, reboot and then try installing Office 2007 again

What version of the .NET framework are you running? It should be in your installed programs list.

Yes, uninstall it fully before you reinstall the .NET framework.
