Reinstalling Media Center

I uninstalled media center a while back because I never used it (to my knowledge) and it irritated me always popping up and bugging me. I discovered today that I need it to hook up my xbox to my tv.. but I don't have it anymore and I cant seem to find out how to get it back without completely reinstalling my OS which I'd rather not take the time to do. Anyone know how?

Do not know what you did to uninstall, but type media center in search and see if anything comes up.

If it was not unistalled very long ago, you can use system restore.

Do you have a Vista DVD?

I already tried that as well as multiple variations. I'm not helpless around a computer, infact I would consider myself very adept; most people that know me consider me a computer expert though I think they have a little more faith in me than I do. I cat remember exactally what I did to uninstall it, only that it was a pain in the rear to get it gone and finding the core application file is proving diffcult I suppose I should have checked for the ability to put it back before removing it but as I said it was annoying me and not something I ever used so I didn't think id ever want t back.
