Problem with realplayer sp.

im having problem with realplayer sp.i reinstalled realplayer sp few days ago,then i had problem with library and did another reinstall and now i get this message when i try to launch realplayer sp : RealPlayer has stopped working. i've contacted realplayer online support and did everything they told me to do.i've done 3 clean install's but still same issue. :(
any suggestions?

Describe in detail what problems you got. I don't like RealPlayer myself, and I use iTunes. Anyway, try uninstalling, and then cleaning up your registry with something like CCleaner, and reinstall. See that all your settings and library is deleted too. There must be a folder like RealPlayer or something in your personal folder. See ...Users/<Your Username>/AppData for the Real folder. Delete that. To see the AppData folder, you need to enable 'Show Hidden Folders' in your Window Settings as it is a hidden folder by default.

I'm a fairly loyal RealPlayer user and have gotten a lot of help from their resources. First, why don't you take a look at this page, How to Uninstall RealPlayer? to see if there's anything in their suggestions that you haven't yet tried.

Also, check the RealPlayer forums
http://www.downloadfreeplayers.com/forum/ and post your problem. The forums are monitored by RealPlayer support personnel, so you might be able to get your problem resolved that way.

My suggestion would be to get rid of it and install Real Alternative.

Why Miles? What are the advantages of Real Alternative? For me, the 2 most important features of RealPlayer are the "Download This Video" link, which allows you to download any video, movie, music, etc. off of the web. Fabulous feature! Does Real Alternative have it also?

Also, I appreciate the Playlist features --- they're set up very well in RealPlayer. Is it pretty much the same in Real Alternative?

Yes, I have heard too that Real Alternative contains all of the original features from RealPlayer, and even many better ones. I have never seriously used RealPlayer or Real Alternative, but I just happen to know them quite well.
