Freeze playing DVD's

Vista 64 bit Ultimate wont play dvd's it freezes right after starting?? Nero will work, but I am selling this pc and the client wants media player 11 to function. I do too? How to fix??

Simple - If you're selling the PC, reinstall Windows. You don't want someone recovering your files do you??

    Main Machine. Just upgraded my RAM to 8GB. Next task will be to get a new processor for this machine ( 9650 was for my secondary machine )
The pc is an AMD 4200+ cpu on an Asrock 780 HDMI GXH mobo w/ATI 4200 graphics, I was told to update drivers for the chipset and graphics drivers, I'll try and post again tomorrow about this client's Media Player freeze.
