I have been getting this error nonstop for 2 days... I want to fix it and have tried everything I can think of... Please how can I get this thing to work? The error information i have is..

In lieu of a better answer, go back with System Restore. That should put you back to square one.

I cannot sign in with my existing ID to windows live messenger but can sign in with a new ID. There is no error massage. Please assist. Is it due to windows live communications platform has stopped? Thks.

I already tried, system restore, worked once but failed again, uninstalling, and installing a different version, nothing has worked, please help me :(, but it also doesn't let me get the last update of the flash player.
Any ideas??

HKEY_CURRENT_USER/SOFTWARE/MICROSOFT/MSNMESSENGER/PerPassportSettings/(number string here)

Then delete the key UTL. MSN will start and you have to change your avatar or it will screw up again. Somehow the avatar on MSN's storage got corrupted during the hotmail update and such. Do this for any numbered folder as they're made per user. MSN will start up after this, you'll jsut have to replace your picture.

I've had this sort of problem before where everytime you log in, you get that problem and then MSN shuts off.
What I found out is that you go

Go to your Windows Live folder and completely drag the Contacts folder onto the desktop and drag it back in. In some way, this fixed the problem for me.

Don't delete and any files from in it, because I've done that before and it lands you a problem like not being able to add contacts and no longer being able to talk in group chats. You may read somewhere that deleting contacts folder may help but only dragging it somewhere else and then putting it back in helped me fix the problem.
