Hi there,
I'm trying to get an plug-in to Powerpoint called TexPoint working so that I can use LaTeX formulas in Powerpoint (there are some characters that are not available in Microsoft Equation). For that I needed to install some software including Ghostcript and then add the path to the PATH environment variable. I have found out how to get there: type in "Accounts" in "Search" and click on "Change my environment variables". Then when I click on "path" and "edit", the current path looks like this:
%CommonProgramFiles%\Microsoft Shared\Windows Live
According to the TexPoint FAQ here: TexPoint Download - Latex Add-In for Powerpoint and Word, I must change it as follows:
%CommonProgramFiles%\Microsoft Shared\Windows Live; C:\Program Files\Ghostgum\gsview\gsview32.exe; C:\Program Files\gs\gs8.64\bin\gswin32.exe
I checked the info window of TexPoint which states that Ghostscript cannot be found - I should install it and add it to the PATH. I also rebooted my computer but with the same result.
Is the path supposed to look like this? Am I doing something wrong?
I'm running Office 2003 on Vista Home Premium.
Thanks in advance!

So I searched for the locations of my installation of Ghostcript, as well as Ghostview (I installed the latest versions), and added them, so it now looks like this:To add a directory <dir> to the PATH you must set the value of the PATH environment variable to <old value>;<dir> (use semicolon as a separator).
%CommonProgramFiles%\Microsoft Shared\Windows Live; C:\Program Files\Ghostgum\gsview\gsview32.exe; C:\Program Files\gs\gs8.64\bin\gswin32.exe
