Solved anti virus won't install

i tried to install the anti virus AVGthat was recommended on this forum .it says not a valid win32 program installation cannot continue

We need more information to better help you.
Did your computer have a prior Anti Virus prog installed?
Is so what was it & how did you remove it?
What other Security progs are you using? [ firewall, antimalware etc]
Were you experiencing any computer problems prior to trying to download AVG?
[It is possible that your computer may be compromised.]
