I was fixing up a friend's computer a while ago and when I tried to make a restore point I found that it was disabled. Upon doing some research, I found that the culprits were some registry values at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\SystemRestore. Upon editing them to the desired values, I could continue my work.
While searching, I ended up on this forum thread and on the 3rd post, someone mentioned that Microsoft has an Excel Spreadsheet with group policy settings with their registry keys. I thought something like this would be useful when troubleshooting problems like this.
Unfortunately the link to the spreadsheet is broken, so does anyone know where I can find this file, or does anyone have it?
