Okay I'm currently running Vista Home Premium 64bit and I was wondering if there are any programs that are unneeded. From what I understand people call them "bloatware". Things I don't need taking up my space and power. Any information on this? Thanks for your help =-)
These are usually programs that say came preinstalled on a store bought (OEM) computer that are either trial ware or junk. It's really up to you to decide on what is useful to you or not, so you might give them a try for a bit before uninstalling them.
If you want to try to get all the crap off at once, you can try running PC decrapifier. But it usually works best if you do it soon after initial PC setup. I ran it on my 64 bit system but I still had to download and run Norton Removal Tool about 3 time before I could get all that Norton stuff off.
Good idea to make a restore point just in case it confuses your system but I haven't seen that many complaints about it. It has a bunch of check boxes for what you want to remove and tries to uninstall all the crap in one go.
