Windows media player doesn't work

I was trying to install Microsoft Screen Reader. That WMEncoder would not do a complete install. It would put the item in my Remove Programs list, and there was a file in my C/Program Files but it wasn't completing. When I went to Remove Programs to uninstall it I'd get a notice that "this only applies to products that are installed." Now my Windows Media Player doesn't work so I'm thinking that somehow something necessary got removed when I was messing with this Screen Reader installation.

Can someone help, please!

Thanks for your help. I don't know for sure what is or was going on, but I played a couple of other attachments I had received, and then tried to play this audio attachment again and it played. I've never had any trouble with WMP before so not sure what the deal is but anyway it seems to be working now.

NP glad you got it working.I've had various weird stuff happen with WMP thats why I found alternatives.If people wanna stick with WMP I usually tell em grab the latest k-lite codec and that does the trick.
