Unable to download Skype

My sister tried to download Skype but at a certain point the information bar blocked the process. Clicking on the information bar does not offer "Download file". Instead more information is offered but does not solve the problem. Does anyone have information on how to proceed. She has Vista Home Premium and McAfee anti-virus. I looked at a site where McAfee had a choice to allow Skype download among other programs but my sister's McAfee does not seemto offer that choice. Any suggestions would be appreciated. GordonHS

It may be Mcafee that is blocking the download. You may have to disable the AV to downlad it. I wouldn't

Uggg I hate Mcafee give me Avast Free over that pain in the neck anytime :sleepy:

Try to remove Norton or similar add the skype to it then dl MoonAV.

    For 337 bucks at fry's in plano, I can't complain too much. I is a blessing indeed. This will be not only my first lappy, but my very last too. I simply prefer my server.
I do not recommend you to use Skype because it`s a p2p software and you can get malware from it!!
