Window live messenger will send but not receive

Hi all, mi problem is WLM (Version 2008 (8.5.1302.1018) does not accept messages or video but it will send text messages, I have just reinstalled Windows Vista home Premuium, antivirus AVG 8.5, any help would be appreciated

Have you tried updating to the latest version of Windows Live Messenger? I’d suggest updating and seeing if your problem persists, if so, let me know and I’ll keep looking for a fix.
