I recently purchased a custom built computer and installed Microsoft 2007 Small Business. I opened Outlook 2007 and setup my Cox email account. I was to configure the account to download to Outlook but cannot send emails. I sent a Test email to my husbands Cox account but it is still sitting in the Outbox with a number one in green parenthesis.
When I run the Test Account Settings, I get the following error: "Send test e-mail message: Outlook cannot connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP)."
My OS is Windows Vista Home Basic 32-bit Service Pack 1.
When I called Cox Communications, they said they do not support Microsoft Outlook 2007 and I should contact Microsoft. I cannot find any help or troubleshooting for the above on the Microsoft website.
~ Someone ~ PLEASE HELP!!
