Java installation and update question.

java runs the little programs and games you find on the internet.if you can play it in your browser, chances are it is powered by java. it also runs some chat programs. its a good idea to keep it updated, if only for security reasons.

Thanks. Does deleting Java affects other PC game? I am having additional Java in my list. It is eating up spaces...Should i delete the additional one?

there is a program called javara. do a search for it. it will delete all but the most up to date java files.

i wouldnt delete anything. i guess you could try uninstalling the oldest update, and java will tell you to download it again, if its needed. if you run that program i suggested, it will present you with a list of all java files you can safely delete.
