Something seems to have corrupted/damaged my Media Center. It no longer "remembers" to record certain programs that it's always remembered to record in the past, yet, when I attempt to change/add record settings for that show, it behaves as if it's already programmed to record it! Frustrating!
I tried calling HP (my manufacturer) and they were not of help (surprise surprise!). There solution, as it always is, if they don't know the answer, restore to factory settings. . . *sigh* I AM practically to that point, because of the internet issues, but, would like to resolve this first.
Unless anyone has any better solutions (which I am completely open to!), what I want to do is uninstall and re-install Media Center, but I can't seem to figure out how to go about doing that, and as I've said, HP was no help, they said I must do a full system restore. I find that hard to believe, but, then again, nothing with Vista has come to surprise me anymore.
So, is it possible to uninstall and re-install JUST Media Center? Or, is HP correct, and in order to do that, I must install Vista Home Premium x64 from scratch?
Thanks for reading!
