Outlook 2007 - 0x8007000E "Out of memory"...

I have searched the net repeatedly looking for a fix to this issue. I seem to only get solutions for Office 2007/Win XP combinations or Vista/Office 2003 combinations but I need a solution for Office 2007 on a Vista system.

Error:

Task '[email protected] - Sending' reported error (0x8007000E) : 'Out of memory or system resources. Close some windows or programs and try again.'

Task '[email protected] - Receiving' reported error (0x8007000E) : 'Out of memory or system resources. Close some windows or programs and try again.'

What I have tried already:

  • Delete and recreate Outlook profile
  • Uninstall and re-install Office 2007 (cleaned all registry entries also)
  • Used ScanPST.exe and ScanOST.exe
  • Deleted all email accounts and re-added
I thought there might be a firewall issue since Windows Mail works fine but I found out that Windows Mail uses internet settings and not ports like Outlook.
This issue is driving me nuts since I used Windows Mail for about a week now and it's childsplay compared to Outlook! :sa:

I know my machine has the specs needed to run WAY more resource hungry apps:

  • Intel Quad Core Q6600 (2.40GHz)
  • 3GB Ram
  • Maxtor 300GB SATAII 7200RPM

I even killed all other apps besides Outlook and I still get the same issue.
Any help/feedback/counseling/therapy/bullets/bucket of water would be greatly appreciated :geek:

I saw that solution also but I don't have those registry keys available. I only have the following...
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows Messaging Subsystem\MSMapiApps

I think that fix might be for the same error but on XP

I had the same problem.. Not sure how I fixed it, but this is what I did... I was trying to install Vista Service Pack 1 and due to errors, had to run the System Update Recovery Tool, then installed SP1. Lost my mouse, so I backed it off, my pst file was corrupted, so I had to run the scan pst. After that, I restarted Outlook and it is now working fine. Don't really know what fixed it, but I'm glad it back.

Thanks for the reply. I tried the Scan PST utility but for some reason it didn't work. I guess I'll try it again in Safe Mode or something. The difference with my process was that I installed Vista Business, then updated to SP1, then installed Office 2007. I use a backup tool to backup my Outlook PST file so I restored it from the backup and then I got the error. I deleted that restored PST file and started from scratch and still had the error. I guess I'll have to keep playing around with it but thanks again for the reply.

I have the same issue as bizsavvy3, and follow all his steps before coming to look up here. A solution was pointed by Airbot, but when bizsavvy3 asked about how to do with the registry there was no follow up.

I read the Microsoft article before coming here too, and I came exactly because Microsoft tells what to do, but not how!
