I just uninstalled the Microsoft Office home and student 60 day free trial because I accidently deleted the Setup.exe file when the trial ended. I have a working activation code but the activation window (of course) would not show up. So i went ahead and removed it from my computer and went to the office website and downloaded it again through the download manager...
Turns out that the download went well, but when i opened up X12-30107-DLM.exe to run the installer, I start getting issues. It goes through the setup (of which i type in the product key they gave me) and said that its valid. But when i click on continue/Install Now, it waits for like 2 minuites and then says that the setup encountered and error during setup. I did all this in safe mode with networking on my vista because it just freezes up when i use the setup in normal mode. used avg and spybot scan procedures on my computer and it turns out clean... Is there a way to get it to install properly? I am using a toshiba satelitte A305D-S6835 with AMD turion 64, graphics is ati radeon. like i said before, i am using vista (home premium) and i HAD this trial working before, until it ended and i wanted to reinstall it.
