I had Windows XP Professional and Microsoft Outlook 2003 in my old system. I had copiedthe .pst files in removable HDD. Now I have Vista Business and again Microsoft Outlook 2003. When I try to import my previous .pst files, it shows my folders but not the mails. What could be the problem??
The way I usually do it (and it seems to work) is to rename the outlook.pst file (on the new machine) to outlookxxx.pst. Do this with Outlook closed. Put the XP outlook.pst file in its place. If you have an archive.pst, then just move it over into the folder.
The thing to consider is if you are moving the file to the correct place or not, and ***taking ownership*** of it or not - if it is owned by a user that does not exist on your Vista box, then you may have that exact problem....
