I'm using Vista Ultimate 64.
Basically anytime I want to open or create any file of any type in Photoshop CS3 I get a COM Surrogate Error (2, one followed after the other). I hit cancel on both and then the file opens with no problems obviously, however it's extremely annoying when say opening 10 images I need to work on (gotta close 20 error boxes then).
I do have service pack 1 installed, however the problem existed prior to that. I have searched and everyone seems to say they are related to video codecs like Xvid or ffdshow or Nero, neither of which I use or have ever installed.
Even stranger is that this problem never used to happen and then it just started happening out of no where. There was no hardware change or software installed to make this happen. Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated.
