This is just frustrating. I have never seen such a slow performance out of Outlook. First I thought Outlook 2007 is the problem (as millions of posts on the internet confirm), but I just downgraded to Office 2003 and its the same .. it takes AGES to change into a different folder or mailbox. Outlook ends up "not responding" so often .. 
I have the same on Vista x86 Business (Work PC and Laptop) and x64 Ultimate at home ...
