W/M/Centre uninstall/swith off default??

hi, does anyone know how to either uninstall media centre or restore to factory settings? i believe ive inadvertantly selected this as default and when downloading certain files this "kicks in" when i dont want it to. ive tried all manner of things (control panel/program associations etc)


please help

Open Media Center > Tasks > Settings > General > Windows Media Center Setup >Run Setup Again... I think this will set things back to default. Not sure.

thanks mate but the problem still persists.....

What type of files are affected? If you can narrow it down to just .avi or .mp3 than you could just change the file association of those types by following these steps:
