I hate how they dumbed it down and took away the graphical progress thing. I didn't totally understand it, but I liked it. I liked that I could see how far along the defrag was. This time, I had to sit and watch the HDD LED until it stopped flashing.
Running it at 4 AM is useless to me, as I have the laptop in sleep mode at that time.
Fortunately, MS was "nice" enough to still allow us the DEFRAG command line that I guess will show the graphical progress. I guess that's how I'll have to do it from now on.
I wish MS would stop shafting power users just so the n00bs can feel more comfortable. Or maybe they could have n00b mode, intermediate mode and geek mode for users to choose from.
