IPv4 and IPv6 not connected

I have a computer that is set up with wifi and I have an ethernet cable running from it to an xbox. I have a netwrok bridge between my Local area connection and wireless network connection. So I can use the internet on my xbox as well.

Problem is that is it all very laggy. On the PC and the xbox when I try to play games. I have played with all sorts of router settings and nothing works. When I check the connection status it says I have a connection speed of anywhere from 11 mbps to 54 mbps. But no matter how high it is I have lag. And browsing and streaming is very slow on the pc as well and I think that it shouldn't be as slow as it is. I was wondering if getting IPv4 and IPv6 connected would change this and how can I go about doing this?

I don't know why no one has responded. All of us who respond are volunteers. Seems that more emphasis is being placed on Win 7 and 8 and we only have so much time to respond.

I'm not very savvy on this stuff but, what does the wi-fi have to do with it? You have the x-box connected directly to your PC via ethernet. Is the PC wirelessly connected to a different computer using wi-fi. Please explain.

The PC is receiving a wifi connection from another computer using wifi. I have my pc which has internet through a wifi adapter, bridged to my xbox. Things seem to have gotten worse. I get a signal speed of no more than 1 mbps now or no connection at all. Just local only connection.

I don't know which version of wi-fi you're using such as 11.g, 11.n, 11.ac, etc.

Have you tried changing the router channel in use? Most use channel 6 and you might change it to something like 1 or 11.

The other issue is the DNS. Maybe you could change that to get a higher pass through.

I'm just not technically strong on this stuff. The other guys are leaving me out to hang and it doesn't take much for me to hang myself on this.
