Apologies if this looks like an old issue, but I have tried everything on the forums and it's getting me nowhere.
My desktop is connected to a BT Broadband 3 (BT Infinity, = v.fast fibre/copper) router via a wireless connection. It's pretty stable although I do get the odd random "local only" error, which to date a pop-up BT "wizard" has fixed (I have no idea what the problem was, or what it did).
Between last night, when it was working fine, and this morning, something has happened to make the "local only" access permanent, which means try as a might I cannot get internet access. I have a laptop (which I'm writing this on) and it connects wirelessly to the router fine.
The only recent change is that I installed a memory upgrade 3-4 days ago which meant I had to reset the BIOS - but the wireless connection carried on working for 3-4 days until last night. I did get an automatic CHKDSK for the first time yesterday (I was being impatient and hard powered down whilst Windows was booting).
I have tried all the usual steps that can be found on the forums for this annoying problem, including removing and re-installing the wireless adaptor. I may try subscribing to NoIP for a dynamic DNS, but that doesn't seem to be the root cause.
I am posting IPCONFIG /ALL below. Any suggestions would be most gratefully received.
