My service provider just changed our router for our broadband 50 internet. My sister's windows 7 laptop is working great while mine keeps getting disconnected. I filmed my internet connection for 12 minutes and I got disconnected 8 times! The problem is aggravating me so much...
I have a dell xps 1530 with a dell wireless WLAN card utility.
I've tried the following and they did not work:
- ipconfig/release and ipconfig/renew
- i've disabled tcp/ipv6
- i've changed the wireless channel... I've tried all 11 channels and none of them helps
- i've cleaned up my DNS cache
- i've done the WLAN zero configuration
- i've both disabled and enabled autotuning
- i've both disabled and enabled chimney offload state
Basically... I can't think of anything that's going to help anymore... My wifi connection keeps dropping almost every minute now...
Hello, check in Device Manager and see if Driver needs updated, it sounds faulty, You may even want to go to the Wireless card manufacture and get new driver .

Thanks for the reply. I did check my wlan driver after posting the message and it says it was up to date. Also, my laptop was working great before the router change so i dont think it's the wireless card (plus i'm out of warranty). I just have a hunch... but i think it may be one of the wireless settings...
thanks again for the quick reply. i tinkered a bit with my router settings and i think i may have fixed it... i changed my wireless mode from 11g/b/n to just 11g and it stopped dropping me...
