Wifi not working after Vista rebuild
Due to many problems, I had to re-build my aunts laptop to the Vista build. For some reason i can only connect to the internet using my ethernet cable and I do not see the list of connections possile via wifi. I am told my aunt only wants her laptop to look at facebook, but wirelessly. Which apart from the many virus' she had on it before asking for help was something that did work.
So after the re-install, I have updated the drivers, but it is still not working. Whilst I 'semi' technical, I am now struggling and think that there is a really obvious build/update that I am missing. To save me spending any more hours/days on this can anyway help??
Thank you!!

Open up the control panel and then open the Network and Sharing Center, and on the left of that screen, press the Diagnose and Repair , and see if that works out.

I get 'Windows did not find any problems with your Internet connection. But I am connected using an ethernet cable at the moment in order to read this post!

If I disconnect the ethernet cable and do the same, it says 'This computer does not have a wireless network adapter installed' .. Install wireless networking hardware and verify corect drivers are loaded'.
bit confused as no hardware changes ...

Go to Control Panel, then Device Manager and verify that network drivers are in fact up to date .

Well, this is strange, from what you are saying, your wireless network card/ hardware are not being detected at all.
