Cable modem resetting

Could someone please tell me how to get Windows to remember my modem settings. Every time I wake up or restart my computer I have to get Windows to reset my modem. This has only just started happening after I had help from Microsoft. They had me run a reset .bat to reset my services (in an effort to restart Security Center). It failed and I have since run Black Vipers "safe" settings and also turned off Media Center services. Microsoft help has left my computer in a worse state than it was before I went to them

Have you tried re-installing the modem's software/driver?

No but I will thanks the guy from Microsoft said to uncheck allow the computer to turn off this device to save power. It was already unchecked.

OK tried that but no luck. To go on line I have to open Network and sharing center,view status,diagnose,reset Telstra Clear Network Adapter. then I can go on line.

I made a new network connection and now it seems to work OK after 1 restart so far thanks Chase looks like that problem maybe solved.

No ended up it didn't fix it I still have to reset the modem each time I wake up or restart (thanks Microsoft)

About two months just switched from Wireless to cable was working fine until Microsoft asked me to run a reset bat file to try to restart Security Center (that also failed to fix anything)

You might want to contact your cable company and ask them to replace your modem cause you may have gotten a bad one; and take some of their advice as well. Usually when they drop signals like that they're old and have a bad component..
