I've been connecting to this router for the past 3 or 4 years, im on this router with a different computer and now my computer wont connect. It says "Automatic wireless configuration is disabled on this computer" Everything points to automatic wireless network connections to being on.
The little green light that means its on is on. but i tried it with the light on and off, no difference..
Another user had this problem and posted it back in 2008 and had his problem solved, his solution was: click Start, type services.msc. Make sure the WLAN AutoConfig is running. If
not, start it.
another user tried this and had error messages. when i go to this place its already started and running, so thats not the problem.
I was reading somewhere that maybe its because windows isnt in control of the wireless networks or whatever, is there a way to check to make sure windows is in charge instead of some other application? i dont think this is the problem but its worth a try.
Does anyone know any other ways that the automatic searching for networks could be blocked by random settings on the computer?
Please I use the Internet everyday for online classes this is ridiculously imprtant to me. If anyone finds any solution it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in Advanced! - Aidan
