Help pls! Network marked as hidden!

I seriously can't connect to my wifi router... It's a linksys router, and i'm using an MSI laptop running in Windows Vista Home Basic... when i go into the "Connect to a network" window, i can see the name of the wireless network, but then, when i click connect on it, it shows up an error.. and when i diagnosed the problem, it says:

"windows cannot connect to "linksys"."

This network is marked as a hidden network and is either not in range of this computer or the wireless settings saved on this computer do not match the settings of the network."



I dont know anything about ssid, how to turn it on of off, etc... Please help me :(

This is usually caused by using different encryption on your computer than you've set up on the router, or typing in the wrong key.
