Hi, I'm having a problem connecting to other computers and connecting to the internet via my dial up modem. First issue is the LAN adapter. The LAN adapter is reportedly Enabled in Network Connections, however it is not saying it's "connected", even though both computers are connected via LAN cable and are configured correctly. The little connection toolbar icon in the bottom right of the screen next to the time says that I am not connected to any connections and there is none available (even though there are 3 Network Connections, 2 internet connections and the LAN connection). The wierd thing is, I am still getting an internet connection (meaning I can access the internet) from the gateway in the other computer. Also, in device manager there are a number of 'WAN Miniports' devices (which I have now disbled), and think they may be linked to the problem. Also every time I try to troubleshoot the issue it says the Diagnostic Policy Service is not running. Second issue: I am trying to connect to the internet via the dial up modem in my computer, however every time I click connect/dial, it says the following: Error 797: A connection to the remote access server was not made because the modem was not found. Thanks a lot in advance, Hungrytoheal
