Hello, I hope someone can help me! I am unable to connect to my broadband wirelessly. Having spent ages chatting to my internet service provider support team, it seems that the problem is this: I am unable to remove an existing wireless network connection on my laptop. I keep clicking on it and clicking remove (in network sharing centre > manage wireless networks), it disappears for about 5 seconds and then it reappears. It's like my laptop has an evil mind of its own and is ignoring my commands! This unremoveable wireless connection means that my laptop keeps trying to automatically connect to this network rather than my provider. When I try to connect to my provider I get an error message coming up saying unable to connect due to 'user action'. Well, more like due to tyrannical laptop action!
Has anyone experienced a similar problem? I've tried changing the name and security key on my provider's network to be the same as the unremoveable network (to fool my laptop), but that's not helped. I've done a full virus check scan (checking if its well), nothing seems to be amiss. Any advice would be really appreciated as I am losing the power struggle with my laptop right now and being not very good at computer stuff, I fear I may be about to be consigned to unwireless perpituity
Thanks! :D
