Need help sending files from my laptap to another

I need to send files from my desktop to my wifes laptop so I can do a full system restore. Unless you know why my laptop doesnt even recognize that there was a D: drive. I know how to get around my computer very little, so I would need step by step instructions. Thanks

We are both running Vista 64-bit Home premium

If it means anything Im trying to send 193GB of Music, Videos, Pic, and text documents

Make sure that you workgroup are the same and "password protected sharing" is off and disable both firewalls (obviously make sure that your are not connected to the internet).
