I posted a couple of days ago about my network access dropping from local & internet, to local, to no connection, after recently upgrading to vista.
I tried every solution othe people have posted on the net but my problem still persisted.
So last night I reinstalled vista and created a restore point after the 1st start-up. I was able to use the internet without interruption for over 5 hrs. Then this morning windows installed updates. After the updates were installed my problem started again. I went ahead and restored my computer to the 1st restore point, and now it is working fine.
My fix to this problem is to not install any updates. I know that it is not the proper fix, but for anyone as frustrated with vista as i am, this is a way to maintain your internet connection.
I am a newcomer to vista, but I found out that this problem has been happening to other for years. I can't understand why microsoft wont fix this problem.
If this post helps anyone else with the same problem, please reply with your story.
