network identifing problem

hi please help me i got my computer back in november 2008 and the problem i hav is identifiying a net work.

both my nabours have got wireless routers and the same make one is unsucured and the other is sucured i have permission off both nabours to use there networks.

my problem is identifing the sucured network both have the same make routers but if i try to connect to the sucured router out of about 20 trys i only get in 2 however i hav found a way around this i must first connect to the unsucured network once im in its ok then if i come out but leave com on then if i go into my room it gos into the sucured network fine infact instantly but if i turn my com off or even restart it i cant get back into it with out going into the other unsucured network first and if i restart my com some times my com dus not even pic up the wireless and when i go into the wireless functios i dont hav wireless when i do to get round this i had to trurn my com off and then switch back on and sometimes my wireless plays up wer it will just disconnect from the network on its own and also my fuctions buttons on my laptop failed to work last nite i had to restart my laptop. my brother came over with his laptop and was able to get into both networks with out a problem and both networks both have the same defalt gateway. ive had this problem now for free months but im upset for the fact that it is having this wireless problem its only now that my computer has stopped crashing alot too i just dont get what the problem is with my wireless and its identifing problem. i should be able to shut down my laptop and switch it on whenever and go into the networks with out a problem but i hav that problem can you help me and also is my problem to do with meging internet connections . thanks so much for reading this essay and if possible can you reply.

Try upgrading the wireless card drivers.
Another issue my be corruption of Windows If you are having crashing issues.

Go to Windows update and check for updates.

Also I suggest you scan for malware/Windows issues:

Avira Antivir (downloadable free software)

or
Avast! (Alwil) (downloadable free software)
Free Home Edition antimalware progam.

ive tried scanning with macafee and i get nothink its fine but i just dont understand this problem also can u add me on msn Removed and tlk on there to help me or even ring me on Removed or 0151 Removed because im so lost ere i dont no how 2 sort the wireless side of things out after reading what u sed can u tell me wot malware is i dont understand thanks david

unless mcafee has Artemis it sucks- and offers subpar protection. Scan with the programs I listed. Including Malwarebytes, and the diagnostic scans through windows.

The blue lettering is the link URL-double click it and download the program. Install it and run it.

ive just downloaded mal bites its found a tun of errors can u tell me how i can fix the wlan step by step brother imlost ere also if i can have ye number ill ring u rite now if u r in the uk im just so lost i need help lol lol thanks brother david

errors or malware? I suggest you uninstall mcafee and install Avast! or Avira and do a system scan.

You need to edit your post and remove your numbers/email addy. for your own protection.

Do not use reg cleaners. You will end up with a non-bootable system

download the antivirus and malwarebytes scanner, then run sfc /scannow and do a disk check.

i dont have a clue on doing it plus with me doing it all im worried incase i stuff it up its mainly my wireless thats the problem and its errors its found the one i just downloaded but i just dont get it lol

Uninstall the reg cleaner you just downloaded. You dont know how to use it, and you will corrupt Windows.

I cant help you If you will not follow the steps i listed for troubleshooting.

run the scans with the antivirus and malwarebytes. If they come up clean then that is good. that means your issue is not malware related.
then, go the the performance link I gave you How To Make Vista more responsive and faster , follow the walkthrough to activate the Admin: command prompt-BUT copy and paste this and hit enter:

sfc /scannow

If it comes back with no integrity violations, then skip to step two (disk check) follow the walkthrough. If it comes back with no system file issues or corruption or bad sectors, then we know Windows is ok.

then we update your WLAN driver ( I will need you system model number to locate the driver).

IF... you fail any of these scans with corruption or the scan aborts, that means Windows is messed up and is the cause of your issues. This will neccessitate a re-install of Vista most likely to fix. At that point you will Use Vista's file backup Utility to backup all your User data.
To access the backup utility go to Start>in search bar, type, backup> then follow prompts to backup to either DVDs or external drive

i hav just uninstalled it but my hard disk is still doing over time lol lol i almost uninstalled my touch pad too lol almost so i was lucky lol lol but my hard disk is still going like mad also i just went into task manager and wot ever is making me hard disk go nuts is not in there so im a little bit berworlded wot the prob is rite now do u think with it being under worinty i shud get them 2 cum and take my com and fix it all and also if so what is the number to conntact them because i got the com with a dongle 4 a 2 years contract but voda sed 2 conntact them i dont get it lol

I think your issue is a virus or trojan/malware infection and possibly Windows corruption. follow steps outlined above in my last post- download either Avira or Avast! and malwarebytes.

I cannot give you tech support numbers because I do not know what system you have or the model number. If you want me to help you then please follow the instructions. When you have completed the steps. post the results and we will go from there.

just doing that scan u sed in cmd and so far so good ad for the wireless drivers can u giv a step by step on how 2 update that tooo please and as for the mal bites can u give me a like that is direct to it ie the last link i click on before i get the save and then run windows and also do i hav 2 remove this once its dun or can i leave that in my system the mal bites also can u tell me wot malware is please ive never herd of them lol llol
