Connecting Vista laptop with my Netgear Wireless Network... Please Help

Hi there,

I am not very smart with setting up internet connection (especially with Vista) and could really do with some help from the experts.

I have recently set up a wireless network in my house using a Netgear router (ISP = Virgin). I set the network up on my PC (Windows XP) and everything seems to work fine. I can access the internet from my PC and from the WIFI on my mobile / cell phone.

Problem is... trying to connect my Acer laptop using vista to the internet.

In the wireless network options, it shows that the laptop is 'connected' to the network, but when i open IE7, an error page appears and the internet doesn't appear.

After carrying out a bit of research on the 'net, its seems that this is a fairly common problem but the answer i have seen are not very clear (especially for a windows Vista beginner)

If someone could help it would truly be much appreciated!!

Ideally, i need some step-by-step information since as i started above, this isn't my strongest of areas plus i don't know Vista very well.

Once again, many thanks if you can help and should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Regards

Stuart
