I have:
Vista Home Premium x64 bit SP1
Dell wireless 1510 WLAN Half Mini Card
Linksys WRT54G wireless G Version 6.0
Problem:
I lose my internet connection after I wake up from sleep, restarting my computer does not help. The only way to get it back is to restart the router which is impossible because I'm not the only one who uses it. (It annoys everyone else)
History:
I got my dell xps 1530 january 23, 3 weeks later I started having this said problem, I looked it up everywhere... no help... any after a couple of days of trying to figure it out, i finally did. I uninstalled 2 updates from microsoft, namely, update rollup for activeX killbits for windows x64 AND windows malicious software removal tool, after which everything was fine.
3 weeks later, after i installed a game called plant tycoon, the same thing happened so I again uninstalled it, telling myself to stop downloading stuff altogether. (yes, it worked properly again afterwards)
NOW, I'm having the same problem AGAIN eventhough i have not downloaded anything at all. and I'm positive of that since its exam week. I have done nothing but study.
Does anyone, anyone have a plausible explanation for this weird occurence. and a solution for it. I keep having this repetitive problem month after month. And for my first laptop, it's really traumatizing... (I'm regretting going for a pc...)
