Toshiba Satellite X205-S7483, Windows Vista Home Premium x86 SP1, Slingshot Wireless Broadband using Novatel Wireless Ovation USB modem.
The modem is connected through one of the two primary USB ports on the left of the laptop. The connection manager software that came with the modem is up to date. The problem is I'll be surfing the Web, downloading something, basically any time I'm online, the modem will be deactivated, as though I had unplugged it from the USB port.
I have disabled the option in Device Manager to allow Windows to deactivate USB devices to save power. This helped for about two days, but now the problem has resurfaced. Does anyone have experience with a problem like this?
Thank you.
