Some websites will not work with belkin wifi

Hi

I have a belkin F5D9630-4 wifi box with security set at wpa/wpa2-personal(psk) auth set at wpa2-psk and encryption set at tkip

My old laptop with xp home on it works great with the wifi all websites come up fast with no problems

With this new Acer Aspire 5315 laptop on vista home basic sp1 I am having problems with the wifi

It connects fine and brings up most web sites with out any problem but some web sites like hotmail, yahoo mail, bebo etc just will not load on the wifi. If I plug it in with the wire it works fine but not on wifi.

I have called belkin about it and they say its something to do with the vista setting ????

Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong

hmm seems to be a problem, might be your firewall being too high on the wifi connection. Secondly, belkin have a built in firewall so you dont really need a firewall on your system.

Thanks for the reply mate, i just turned off the firewall for a min. to try it but it still did not load up hotmail log in or bebo log in or yahoo log in , any other ideas
