I am attempting to connect my Vista Basic Desktop to my Vista Home Premium Laptop via my Linksys WRT54G wireless router. I currently have all firewalls disabled and have my desktop connected to the router via ethernet cable and the laptop connected wirelessly...
My desktop and laptop are both recognizing eachother but when I attempt to connect to one another I am getting errors or password requests. I will break down the issues from each computer.
Desktop:
When I open the network I see my Laptop, when I double click to open the sharing folders I am prompted for a username and password... I entered my WPA username and password and was given an error that information was incorrect... I tried many variations of this and came up with the same error.
Laptop:
When I attempt to connect to the Desktop via the Laptop it attempts and gives me a error stating to \\DESKTOP could not be connected please check spelling...
I am at a loss for words... I have search high and low for a solution and am now posting here in a last attempt to determine my problem.
PLEASE HELP!
